Chateau Dumas with Maor Zabar
Join us for our incredible Chateau Dumas Millinery Retreat & Workshop with one of the most progressive, award winning hat designers of our time, Maor Zabar.
Maor has been running his own atelier since 2014, Maor Zabar Hats. Drawing his inspiration from nature, art and history his meticulous, hand-crafted pieces are contrasted between a classic and modern world, bringing his unique style to life with theatrical aesthetic that is mixed with the element of humour.

The 7 night inclusive retreat is set in the wondrous countryside of Auty, in the Tarn-et-Garonne region of the northern Occitanie, southern France.
The Workshop
The 5 day workshop will cover millinery techniques and processes that are used by Maor within his atelier, including “Sinasilk”, an innovative technique developed by Maor himself. .
During the week students will be taught three unique practices which include the draping, manipulating and free-forming of fabrics and other materials, sculpting 3D shapes, silk painting, and constructing and creating dramatic headpieces.
The workshop is catered to all levels, however, all applicants must have millinery hand sewing skills.
