A bespoke hat should feel as individual as the person wearing it. Whether you are dressing for Royal Ascot, a wedding, investiture or another extraordinary occasion, Rachael will work with you to create a piece designed specifically for you.
From the first conversation through to the finished piece, colour, proportion, silhouette and detail are considered alongside your outfit, occasion and personal style. The result is a unique piece of millinery that not only completes your look, but feels entirely your own.
THE BESPOKE PROCESS
CONSULTATION
Every commission begins with a conversation. We’ll discuss your occasion, outfit, personal style and ideas, looking at colour, proportion and silhouette to begin shaping the direction of your piece.
DESIGN
Drawing on your consultation, Rachael will develop a design specifically for you. Materials, colour and detailing are carefully considered to complement both you and your outfit, while retaining the distinctive RCM design aesthetic.
CREATION
Your piece is then individually handcrafted in Rachael’s Brighton studio. Depending on the design, fittings may be arranged along the way before the final details are completed and your bespoke piece is ready for its occasion.
